Happy New Year. Without an exclamation mark coz there's nothing to exclaim about. For people who had welcomed 2004 and are still around to usher in 2005, which includes u and me, don't you just feel fortunate but at the same time painful to be still in this world looking at all the sad happenings?
If celebrating a new year at midnite of 31 Dec 2004 is a crime, Im guilty. The whole of clarke quay are guilty too. Pops, screams, shouts and laughters filled the entire clarke quay that nite. Everyone seemed to have put what had taken place lately behind them.
There are so many ways to making my donations. Through company, cafe or personally...so many, telling me to do my part. Yes I am gonna do that. My contributions may be little for an individual but it can make such a big difference to the lives of the people there. Don't undermine your contributions. We are all living in the same world yet going through different phases in lives. If you had seen from the news how the people had to SNATCH (i hate to use this word but really..they snatch) for the donated supplies, you will pause and question.
Have we been living too good a life and not repaying now and then that God is punishing us? The family of a victim said this "God lent the life to us. He's taking it back and he has the right to."
I come to realise many things in this world is really not worth the hassle to insist on, dwell on and working so hard for. It's about going through and learning from it. Everything is fragile, even a planet that can hold so many people, houses, animals etc, whats more a life.
